Festus Fajemilo Foundation in collaboration with Hydrocephalus Association United States, currently holds support group activities at two locations in Nigeria. The locations are within the premises of Lagos state university teaching hospital (LASUTH) Ikeja, Lagos and Obafemi Awolowo University teaching hospital complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife. For persons living with lifelong conditions such as spina bifida and hydrocephalus and their families, knowing that they are not alone dealing with the attendant challenges of these neurological conditions could go a long way to reduce emotional feelings.
Our support group platforms provide affected persons and their families opportunities for peer support, socialize and make new friends, learning from the experiences of others and gain hope through shared success stories and positive role models. It is free for all families impacted by spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
It’s good to know that you’re not alone as you deal with challenges of SPINA BIFIDA & HYDROCEPHALUS.
Festus Fajemilo Foundation provides localized support, education and empowerment through coming together of affected people and their families.
The benefits of the support group among others include:
- Sharing of information, ideas, resources and knowledge that leads to common understanding
